Grace Vargas is simply known as "Amazing Grace" and her passion and desire to be a good mother, a savvy business owner, and an honest human being molds her special distinction to make a real difference in a city she has lived in for nearly 30 years.
Council Member Joe Baca Jr., is one of the newest members elected to the Rialto City Council. Prior to serving on the City Council, he was a member of the California State Assembly. With his legislative experience, he now serves on the League Legislative Task Force Committee. He also represents the City of Rialto on the San Bernardino County Municipal Water District with the other local representatives. The Council Member is passionate about infrastructure improvement and services in our community and represents the City on the Community Development Block Grand Ad Hoc Committee.
Experience: Twenty five (25) years of private practice in almost every aspect of the legal profession. Specialty in Landlord/Tenant law-representing Residential and Commercial Landlords. Former City Prosecutor for the City of Rialto for 5 years, 1985-1989. Judge Pro Tem in San Bernardino, Riverside and Los Angeles Counties for the past 20 years hearing over 8,000 cases. Developed and maintains a successful law practice servicing San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, San Diego, Kern and Los Angeles Counties. Deborah Robertson was elected to the Rialto City Council in 2000. She serves as a representative to the League of California Cities' Transportation, Communications and Public Works Committee and SCAG's Community, Economic and Human Development Committee. She also serves on the governing board of the San Bernardino Associated Governments in addition serving as a member of the Budget Oversight, Redevelopment and Citizens Advisory Committee for the City of Rialto.
City Treasurer Edward J Carrillo, 56, resident of Rialto since May 1990, is Owner and CEO of a State Farm Insurance Agency in Rialto, CA. He was appointed to the office of Treasurer in October 19, 1999 to complete then-City Treasurer Tom Hallum’s term in office. He was first elected to office in November 7, 2000, re-elected November 2, 2004, and November 4, 2008.
